Subject:How many tables can be in a DB?? (Limit ??)
View as plain text
Hi,

I'm using Mysql under Linux. I have a doubt regarding the number of tables in a database.
I think we can set the number of tables (i'm not sure about this =). But i wanted to know
in terms of accessibility and fastness, how many tables can be?
At present i have around 10 tables with a record strength of 40,000. And in the future it
will be increasing rapidly. So i need to consider this issue as the topmost while
designing the database.

I hope someone will help me in giving a details explanation for my problem =)

Thanks in advance

Regards,
