Ok, i did have 32MB of ram with a 32MB swap, so i added a "swap File" to my
system that is 96MB so total
swap space is now 128MB of ram...
Below is a copy of my compile session with swap usage at various times
included,
please take a look - There is a verry intresting thing i found.
The availible swap space actually went UP before the memory error! and the
memory usage never
went above 60%!!! why would this error occur!?! Please help
Right before it crashed (approx 1 minute) these are the results of 2
'swapctl -l' commands...
# swapctl -l
Device 512-blocks Used Avail Capacity Priority
swap_device 64000 63944 56 100% 0
/dev/vnd0c 196608 88680 107928 45% 0
Total 260608 152624 107984 59%
# swapctl -l
Device 512-blocks Used Avail Capacity Priority
swap_device 64000 63912 88 100% 0
/dev/vnd0c 196608 88648 107960 45% 0
Total 260608 152560 108048 59%
