BSD/OS has three places where you limit the amount of resources any
single person/program can use: System wide enforced by the kernel (and
settable via the sysctl program), default per-user limits set by
/etc/login.conf, and per-process limits set via the shell "limit"
command.
Just make sure you have plenty of memory use allowed when you compile.
