Subject:MySQL thread problem on HP
View as plain text
Hello,

 After installing/testing MySQL on Solaris I now skipped to HP UX 10.20.
 Installation is still out-of-th-box. However, as soon as I start using
 the daemon from a remote machine, it restarts itself with a THREAD error:
---> LOG exerpt - START <--
mysqld restarted on Thu Apr 29 12:39:52 METDST 1999
Got error 0 from setitimer with:
                    wakeup:   tv_sec: 925411190  tv_nsec: 0
                    current:  tv_sec: 925411195  tv_nsec: 10000000
                    argument: tv_sec: -6  tv_usec: 990000
/tools/hp/hp10/dbases/mysql-3.22.21/mit-pthreads/pthreads/sleep.c:123: Phtreads
kernel panic.
mysqld restarted on Thu Apr 29 12:39:52 METDST 1999
---> LOG exerpt - END <---

 After a small round of analusing it seems that the server gets "boggy" after
 I create new TABLES/DB's. I noticed that stopping and restarting the server
 solves my problem, at least it doesn't choke right now.

 If anybody could explain this "problem" it would be appreciated. I would like
 to now what's going on, and what we can do to prevent this "spontaneous"
 restarts to happen. Obvious, we will create TABLES "run-time", like for
 optimisation/temp-staorage.

Any help appreciated.
