Help! Lost the server host.

Help.

It seems that the perl-cgi scripts that were working with Mysql for
almost a year will not execute because the mysql server host could not
be found.  After changing the line about connect script host to
Localhost the script would run fine, but yesturday it ran fine with the
host server name.  What might have happened?  and what can I check?
