Extract text from string

Hi,

Is there such a way in a MySQL query to extract the text "this is a test"
from the following strings as a example

<strong><a href="http://www.domain.com/" class="link">this is a
test</a></strong>
<strong><a href="http://www.domain.com/" title="this is a test"
class="link">link</a></strong>
