user not able to login from localhost

i have given select/insert/update/delete rights to a user on a specific database, from
localhost. when i try to login to mysql using the uid, i get error:



ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'myuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)


what other privilege do i need to give this user?
