connecting mysql via windows and libmysql.dll

Hello,

is here anybody who can explain me how i have to compile my application
under Visualstudio 6?
If i load the example files via the make file (from the
winclients-3_22_9.zip) and compile them, all is fine.
but if i make a completely new Project with MFC then i can't compile this
project.

the compiler is always crying that he doesnt know the >>Socket<<?

please help me
