Hi Neil,
Try this:
SELECT LEFT(DATE_FIELD_NAME, 10), COLOR_FIELD_NAME, COUNT(T.*) AS CNT FROM
TABLE_NAME GROUP BY LEFT(DATE_FIELD_NAME, 10), COLOR_FIELD_NAME.
Post the table structure if this does not help.
