No...One machine eventually worked on port 1000, and another I changed the port back to
the standard port 3306. I have run into this before and don't know what makes it finally
run. My security folks asked me to run on port 1000 or another port less than 1024.
Fortunately the machine they were concerned about did finally work on 1000...but I do not
