This is kind of ugly, but with the multitable limitations of 3.23 it
probably works.

CREATE TABLE TEMP 
SELECT table_1 columns except age, table_2 age
FROM   table_1 
       INNER JOIN table_2 
       USING (name);
TRUNCATE table_1; 

INSERT INTO table_1 
SELECT * 
FROM TEMP; 

DROP TABLE_1;
