MySQL Lists: mysql: inf and -inf values

Hi all,

I'm trying to INSERT values inf or -inf into a field (double) in MySQL 
version 4.1.13 but
it has not been possible. MySQL deny the insertion. Can anyone give me 
any suggestions to
solving this problem ?
