Instalation problem

I have installed minilinux on a 486-PC. Now, I want to install MySql(the
binary distribution). Under DOS, I've copied the mysql distribution file to
c:\linux\usr\local\mysql. Then, I started linux(minilinux). The mysql
distribution file could not be found in /usr/local/mysql(I have tried ls -a).
How can I import external files from linux?
