Subject:php/apache/mysql compile problems under linux
View as plain text
hey there...

i'm having difficulty compiling php/apache under linux with support
for mysql-3.22.27. i've scoured the listervs and seen other people
with the same problem, but no one seems to have an answer.

the problem is, that when attempting to make apache, it craps out, complaining:

libmysqlclient.a(my_open.o): In function `my_open':
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `libmysqlclient.a(my_open.o)'
[root@wolfgang mysql-3.22.27-pc-linux-gnu-i686]#
my_open.o(.text+0x13): undefined reference to `open64'
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `my_open.o(.text+0x13)'
[root@wolfgang mysql-3.22.27-pc-linux-gnu-i686]#
libmysqlclient.a(mf_format.o): In function `fn_format':
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `libmysqlclient.a(mf_format.o)'
[root@wolfgang mysql-3.22.27-pc-linux-gnu-i686]#
mf_format.o(.text+0x1a7): undefined reference to `__lxstat64'
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `mf_format.o(.text+0x1a7)'
[root@wolfgang mysql-3.22.27-pc-linux-gnu-i686]#
libmysqlclient.a(my_fopen.o): In function `my_fopen':
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `libmysqlclient.a(my_fopen.o)'
[root@wolfgang mysql-3.22.27-pc-linux-gnu-i686]#
my_fopen.o(.text+0x20): undefined reference to `fopen64'

what are all these ***64 calls, and how can i fix this?

cheers,
