Well, after pulling all of my hair out, I got Harry's message and decided
to try it one more time. I had tried to compile it statically, but I
never put the correct FLAGS in (AAAARRRGGGGHHH!)
I'm going to keep trying to get it to work as a DSO when I have some free
time.....
