That's true.  On the other hand, the file which is the manual itself
is quite long.  It takes a while to download, and, even if one has
a local copy, can take a while for browsers to load.  I prefer the
one-file-per-chapter version of the HTML manual, since my browser
usually loads the chapter pages more quickly.  This per-chapter
version is the one that every message on this mailing list has a pointer
to in the message trailer.  It's:
    http://www.mysql.com/Manual_chapter/manual_toc.html

and you should also see this URL at the bottom of this message.
