	Microsoft *bought* FoxPro; they didn't develop the database engine. 
FWIW, it is one of the fastest engines for local manipulation of data. 
I frequently use Visual FoxPro to grab data from a MySQL database, make 
the updates locally, and then pump the changes back. VFP rocks with 
MySQL!
