Hi, I have one question regarding date column type in MYSQL. Can I use the column type for date as Integer instead of DateTime or Date to store the date as yyyymmddhhmmss or yyyymmdd? As I know MYSQL accepts this format. But I am not too sure about the column type. What are the pros and cons for using Integer column type for the date? Please reply at the earliest.
