Partially C and partially C++ now.


There are some platforms which are not supporting or supooprting badly
C++ compilers or they are not free. We had internally long discussion
about this but we will keep client code plain C for some additional
time. Meanwhile I am working on it and making lot's of 
#ifdef __cplusplus-s into it already. In future it prorably will be in
C++.

BTW, some source parts in MySQL is about 20 years old. They are working
well and there is sometime no idea to spend work in rewriting them.
