No, but you might have got confused about the output of SHOW FIELDS?

The 'Null' column is empty, meaning NOT NULL.

Only the 'Default' is set to NULL, which indicates that you are
allowed to store a NULL into this column (which actually doesn't store
a NULL value, but the next available one).
