MS Access 97 connection to MySQL

I installed the MySQL server in the Linux Box and
use Win95 to connect through the MyODBC driver.
I can use MS Access 97 to add NEW rows into the tables in
a MySQL database but I can't update/delete. 
MS Access 97 prompt an error that other user is using the
database but in fact I am the only user using it.
I have already define the primary key and add a timestamp field in the
database.
