If you use PhpMyAdmin (latest version), follow these steps:
1. Select your table by clicking on the left.
2. Choose 'Operations' from the top.
3. And the first bullet, you will find something that says: Alter table
by _____ (singly).
4. Just choose the appropriate field and click 'Go'
Ofcourse this feature will be more robust, if you constructed your own
query.
