MySQL Lists: mysql: WG: wait

Subject:	WG: wait_timeout in my.cnf

I set a lot of variables in the my.cnf file, all variables are set (I
checked it with "show variables") except of wait_timeout. If I set the
option in MySQL with "option wait_status=xxx" it works.

Does anybody know why this could happen?
