i think the standard thing to do is send the errors
i think the syntax is mysql_fix_privilege_tables -u root -p ??
so all u do is copy the directories in the data directory over to 4 and to
the fix table

Subject: Looking for more detail on upgrading to 4 from 3
I am running a 3.23 server, and want to upgrade to 4, I have a test server
running 4 now, with no other databases in it other than MySql.
What is the best procedure to update the test server to hold my 3.23
databases?
I am thinking delete the mysql database from the version 4 system, close
down the version 3.23 system and copy the databases over to the new version
4 system.
I try to run mysql_fix_privilege_tables but it gives me many errors, can
someone tell me the exact syntax to pass a username and password off to it,
I am using mysql_fix_privilege_tables -urot -ppassword and it gives me tons
of errors and does nothing.
I am pretty sure all my tables are MyISAM, but if they are not, whats a good
and fast way to get them all to myISAM wihout doing them one at a time, that
would take ages.
