I am running Linux (Slackware) kernel 2.0.29 0n a pentium
I just can,t get past the ./configure step 1 installing mysql.
looks like my resolveip in /usr/local/mysql/bin cant find the hostid
for my machine although everything seems right ---the host tables , DNS
are just fine-- what could the problem be??
