REGEXP in MySQL is always case sensitive (though the internal regex
library could do case-insensitive matches, so it wouldn't be hard to
add IREGEXP), but ...

... you always can use UPPER() or LOWER() (whatever you like better)
on the other side:

  WHERE LOWER(field) REGEXP '[[:<:]]keyword[[:>:]]';
