Subject:UnixWare Threads... From SCO...
View as plain text
: 1. Does anyone provide POSIX thread
: libraies for UW7, doesn't seem to be
: part of standard UDK ?

POSIX threads were added as of UnixWare 7.0.1, and are also available
for UnixWare 2.1.3 as of the 7.1 UDK. I believe the man pages for the
POSIX threads API were left out of 7.0.1 by mistake, which may be why
you think they aren't there; consult http://uw7doc.sco.com if necessary
to get them.

: 2. SCO cc say to use cc -Kthread option
: for threads, does this apply to gcc as
: well ?

For something as delicate as multithreaded programming, which also
touches how key system libraries behave, my personal recommendation
would be to stick with the SCO UDK rather than using gcc, if possible.
