My 2 cents: O'Rielly is the only publisher that consistently provides good
information at a number of appropriate levels. For instance, if you want
Perl you would get (in order of technical complexity) the Llama, the
Camel, or the Panther book. There are actually a few others, but I guess
those three pretty much explain everything I would ever want to know about
Perl. I'm sure that if MySQL user base ever equals (or exceeds?) Perl,
there will be just as many books. BTW, does the MySQL book come with a
pocket reference? The perl quick reference guide is an excellent size to
live in my center desk drawer, and very important to those of us who have
syntactical deficiencies.<G>

I agree that the supplied MySQL manual is very complete with some good
examples, but the 371 pages of HTML I spit out of my printer, are fairly
useless without a TOC or index and matching page numbers. <DOH!> I made a
frames version of the manual with TOC on the left and the manual on the
right, it works pretty good.
