As has the ability of some to quote only the necessary text ... ;-) Seriously, it's _really_ a waste of bandwidth to quote everything that we all already have read! Regarding your question: It seems as if TCX has changed the mailing list software from "Majordomo" to "ezmlm" and in doing so actually the prefix has been lost, yes. I personally welcome the change, because "ezmlm" can deliver mails much more quickly - when "Majordomo" might have needed hours to send a list mail to all recipients "ezmlm" should be able to do the job in a few minutes. And I used to strip the prefix anyway with "procmail" filtering rules, because list mail goes to a seperate folder and there the prefix only is a waste of space. An important change for filtering rules is that there's no "Sender:" header line anymore (and some other header lines have changed, too). My current "procmail" rule for the mysql list now is: # MySQL mailing list :0: * ^From mysql-.*@lists\.mysql\.com IN/mysql Regards, Martin -- Martin Ramsch PGP KeyID=0xE8EF4F75 FiPr=52 44 5E F3 B0 B1 38 26 E4 EC 80 58 7B 31 3A D7
