Hi Egor. For some reason, I have neither of those files...I've searched
my machine for all CNF files and found only the four samples. I have
lots of INI files but neither one called anything close to my.ini. I
think I may have to give up. <sigh> :-) Thanks again for all your
help!

You should have my.ini file in your Windows system dir or my.cnf file in
the
root directory of the C: drive. Add those lines in your my.ini file.
