sort order and quotes

i'm doing a simple query selecting article titles and their respective
links. i'd like to sort them by title asc. however, some of the article
titles contain quotes therefore results appear as:

    "High" Temperatures
    About the Weather
    Are we on Pluto?
    Barometer readings
    etc..

is there a way to do some type of string replace for this specific query
so it lists the titles correctly? i looked at the string functions but
am a bit confused and i wasn't getting the results i needed.
