Did you try LONGBLOB?

We use MySQL, SQLServer, and Oracle here and keep the equivalent of Oracle
CLOB data in LONGBLOB columns in MySQL and in TEXT columns in SQLServer. We
move data back and forth with no problem.

My problem is finding an equivalent field for the "TEXT" data type in
SQLServer...

non of the datatypes I tried would hold the amount of characters I need...

Help!
