Sure you can enter the following string into a textarea:
This is <STRONG>important</STRONG> text.
But does it display with bold "important" inside the textarea?
Not that I know. It's just plain text, that happens to be HTML.
I thought, the original poster wanted his customers to input
formatted text directly, being display formatted, too?
