I don't think so. Here are the file sizes of the two rpm's:

-rw-r--r--   1 root     root      3694676 Jul  8 10:00 MySQL-3.22.25-1.i386.rpm
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root      2211152 Aug 10 09:08 MySQL-3.23.2-alpha-1.i386
.rpm

The other rpm file sizes are also significantly smaller. 3.22.25 works just fine. 3.23.2
does not, complaining about missing symbol references. Am I missing something?

The 3.23.2 RPM:s should be staticly compiled!
