I was wondering anyone had figured out Arnaud's problem for I seem to
experience the same thing. I'm running MyODBC 2.50.24 for NT Server 4.0 SP5
(was SP3) with IIS 4.0 and using ASP and MySQL 3.22.21 is running on Linux
2.2.7 (SuSE 6.1).

The first three querries always work. Then the fourth querry hoses up IIS
on NT. Very consistent behaviour. The INETINFO process will hog up most of
the CPU cycles according to the task manager on NT. If you stop the web
server from the MMC, you can't restart it. An attempted start gives a
"WINSOCK error: Not initialized" message box on NT. I have to reboot the NT
server to get things working again until the next fourth querry screws it
up.

Turned on logging for MySQL. Shows the connect, querry, quit. Nothing
unusual. Mysqladmin proc doesn't show any processes running. Err log tells
me it's ready for connections. Don't think it's MySQL on Linux.

Turned on MyODBC logging. Get a strange "Maximum memory" message at the
very end that I see everytime IIS stops working:

<SQLFreeConnect
>_myfree
| enter: ptr: 1b11f68
<_myfree
>_myfree
| enter: ptr: 1b10d48
<_myfree
>_myfree
| enter: ptr: 1b11f18
<_myfree
>TERMINATE
| safe: Maximum memory usage: 24753 bytes (25k)
<TERMINATE

Also, I get some of these:

>get_stmt_options
| enter: Option: 6
| info: This may be wrong: Change your application to use ODBC Manger
cursors or add 128 or 256 to your Option flag!
<get_stmt_options

and I did specify 128 in the ODBC setup.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

Well, I have the same software setup (NT SP4) and have no problems. I also
have MSSQL 7.0 Server on the same server.

Problem might be memory as You mention (I have 160 MB), or perhaps the size
of the swap-file (I have 600 MB due to MS SQL Server, not because of MySQL).

I'm running MySQL 3.22.22 and latest ODBC.

Best regards
Peter
