OSX Installation & Registration Issues

Hi folks.

I'm having trouble installing the ODBC connector on OS X with the instructions provided
here:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/connector-odbc-installation.html#connector-odbc-installation-binary-macosx

I copy the files over and it does not find the following command:

myodbc31

Not sure what to do.  Any advice appreciated.
