The problem is there is rather sketchy information as to the last MyODBC Connector version
that is compatible with version 3.23 of MySQL. 3.51.30 got installed and it is not
compatible. Backing down to 3.51.23 solved the problem.
Question is, other than trial-and-error, is there anything that says what the last
compatible version of 3.51 is? I was guessing with the .23 release and it seems to have
worked out OK, at least for now.
