write confilct with access

i am getting a write confict when trying to do basically anything - even
make a change to a field in the database.
 
i have researched this pretty extensively and see many people saying that
adding a timestamp filed to the table in MySQL will correct it and/or
eliminating NULL fields.  i have done both of these and still get the same
write conflict (this record has been changed by another user). .. i am the
only user on the database.
 
i'm wondering if i have set up the connector incorrectly or there is
something else.....
