I have built a database using the .cmd file from sapdb\depend\misc\create_demo_db.cmd. Works great on NT4 and on .NET Server RC-1 However, there are something's done in the build that I do not know where they come from or what they mean. From the echo of the build process: dbmcli on PFORMS>OK --- dbmcli on PFORMS>OK --- dbmcli on PFORMS>OK Returncode 0 Date 20020930 Time 00121701 Server ftp.tuckahoeparents.com Database PFORMS Kernel Version Kernel 7.3.0 Build 025-000-085-923 Pages Transferred 264 Pages Left 0 Volumes 1 Medianame data Location d:\sapdb\data\PFORMS\datasave Errortext Label DAT_00001 Is Consistent true First LOG Page 485 Last LOG Page DB Stamp 1 Date 20020930 DB Stamp 1 Time 00121700 DB Stamp 2 Date DB Stamp 2 Time Page Count 246 Devices Used 1 Database ID ftp.tuckahoeparents.com:PFORMS_20020930_121647 Max Used Data Page 260 --- dbmcli on PFORMS>OK --- dbmcli on PFORMS> My question is where does the references to the ftp server come from? The computer is called Comp25 and I can connect to it using Comp25 so what does this reference to ftp.tuck.... mean? The computer is a ftp server but it is also a couple of other things also. I would suppose this is a DNS thing but why? Does it matter? Where might this Server name be used or Database ID? Can I change them? Can I preconfigure them? Thanks for the help. Ralph H.
