Once the source code is released, it may make sense to add in what bit
of configuration is needed to support various package managers.
It is reasonably common for there to be, in the source code tree,
directories such as .../debian or .../SRPM so that those that are
interested in supporting the package managers can readily add patches to
this as needed. You guys wouldn't forcibly have to directly do anything
at all in order for it to become supported other than to accept patches.
