Mathias,

how did you recover your database (username)? How do you start your db
kernel x_server (as sapdb)?

Maybe you have created your database as root and you should do this
using the sapdb user...

Betreff: Problems with file mode of SYS_001

Hi,

after trying to recreate a database after a crash I succeeded in
creating the database but when I want to start it, the kernel trace
shows:

2002-09-16 13:57:05                          --- Starting GMT 2002-09-16

2002-09-16 13:57:11  8155 ERR 53016 I/O      SYS_001

The database process starts however. But it is not accessible The
ownership and permission of the file holding the system devspace of the
concerned database seems to be correct (in comparison with another
database on another computer).

Does somebody know, which file and which mode is ment here?

Mathias
