Subject:AW: AW: Vtrace with space in path...
View as plain text
Hi David,

when the database is restarted then the file knldiag
is saved in knldiag.old. This means you have the
knldiag of the last run still available.
If the database is restarted after a crash, then
diagnostic file (including knldiag) of the
erronous run are saved in subdirectories of
the direcory given in the parameter DIAG_HISTORY_PATH.
The number of crashes for wich information is
saved there is limited by the parameter
DIAG_HISTORY_NUM. If this is exceeded, older
subdirectories are deleted so that the information
of the latest crash can be saved.
Also the knldiag.err is never cleared. Every error-
message which is written into knldiag is also
appended there in order to provide a complete
history of severe errors.

Kind regards, Martin
