Can I install Maxdb even if I am not in a root shell?

Hello,

I have a username on solaris but not "root", so can I install Maxdb on 
jupiter under my dir? ( such as "/export/home/abc/" ) 

if i can, what should i notice to administrator?

is there any guide for installation on solaris?
