Hi,

I've just read

thanks for the information. I think this explains my problems I having
all the time. I tried only newer versions by now.

But I want to let you know, that I have a working ODBC connection with

perl-DBI 1.28
DBD::ODBC 1.04
SAPDB 7.3.0.29

if it is linked directly against the SAPDB driver and not against a driver
manager.

Whoever wrote this article: Do you have contact to the authors of DBI
and DBD::ODBC to fix the problems in future?

As DBD::ODBC is mentioned as your current official Perl connector it
should really be fixed.
