Hi
I have tried to install a SAP system as follows. However, after numerous
attempts I have not been able to complete the installation. I have tried
the following combination of software.
Operating System SAP Kernel Database Version Database Load
DEC ALPHA TRU-64 5.1 SAP 4.6D SR1 SAPDB 7.3.0 Build 15 IDES V3
DEC ALPHA TRU-64 5.1 SAP 4.6D SR1 SAPDB 7.3.0 Build 20 IDES V3
DEC ALPHA TRU-64 5.1 SAP 4.6C SR2 SAPDB 7.2.5.0 IDES V3
DEC ALPHA TRU-64 5.1 SAP 4.6C SR2 SAPDB 7.2.5.0 IDES V2
I have had the same results with each attempt. The installation installs
the R3 software, creates the database and loads the data. When trying to
restart the database after the load has completed the command to bring
the database into warm mode just hangs. The database is not started and
there is no error message displayed. The installation cannot continue
from this point.
Any Assistance will be highly appreciated.
