Subject:Communication link failure, Debian and portmap?
View as plain text
Hi all

Ive found this link: http://lists.mysql.com/java/7148

It seems I have the same problem, but im not sure what to do. You see the servers
communicatyion with my MySQL is not on the same server as MySQL, so I guess the "mysqld:
localhost" is not what I need, or? And is it on the MySQL machine I should do this, or on
the clients?

Also is it possible to disable this portmap thing totally, because my machines are behind
a firewall, and how do i do it?

Med venlig hilsen/Best regards
