Connector/J is still Open Source, so all contributions are welcome. I 
will shortly add a 'Contributing' section to the documentation, thanks 
for pointing out its omission!

We have just put up a new bug reporting system for all MySQL products at 
http://bugs.mysql.com/

Please make sure that you report the version of the JDBC driver you are 
using in your bug report.

You can report your bug there, as well as any patches to it (if you so 
desire).
