Actually maybe this is a stupid question about jdbc, but i really
appreciate any help from all of you ..
I've read some concepts about jdbc from sun, and i still don't
get it to what they said about "... with the jdbc api, it isn't
necessary to write one program to access Sybase Database, another
program to access Oracle Database, another program to access
an Informix Database, and so on .."
But when i looked an
example from mm driver, the method(way) to access the db wasn't
similar with another example from sun (jdbc docs) which
describe the way to access a db with odbc ..
is this because odbc method supports many type of databases ?
so programmer doesn't have to change the program(s) to
access another database ...
if so .. is there someone can tell me how to connect
mysql database with odbc ?
