4.0 tree

Sorry guys for making you re-clone again. Because of the addition of Gemini 
to the 3.23 branch, we had to do another clean start on the 4.0 tree by 
cloning 3.23 and manually re-merging the changes. This time it is not the 
BitKeeper's fault - BitKeeper has been very good to us lately. This is just 
our own management glitch. In case you forgot, bk clone 
bk://work.mysql.com:7001 mysql-4.0 , and, a reminder again, for 3.23 tree do 
bk clone bk://work.mysql.com:7000 mysql
