access log

Hi everybody,
I'm starting to look inside MySQL Internals because I need to write a
little patch to log users access into db. I think that this could be
an useful feature and I enjoy learning internals for implement this.
All infos about mysql implementation of logging interface are welcome.
Let me know what you think about.
